Security forces killed two terrorists in separate incidents on the night between March 6 and 7 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the military’s media wing said.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the intelligence-based operation (IBO) was conducted in Khyber district.
During this operation, the security forces engaged in a exchange of fire with terrorist ring leader Shamrooz, also known as Sheenay, resulting in his neutralisation.
Simultaneously, in another operation carried out in Dera Ismail Khan district, the security forces successfully eliminated the terrorist Mansoor.
The actions of both Shamrooz and Mansoor had been detrimental to the region, as they were actively involved in various terrorist activities against security forces.
Additionally, their criminal record included extortion, target killings of innocent civilians, making them high-priority targets for law enforcement agencies.
The operations not only led to the elimination of these threats but also resulted in the recovery of weapons, ammunition, and explosives possessed by the terrorists.
A sanitisation operation is being conducted to wipe out any other terrorists found in the area.
Locals of the area appreciated the operation and expressed their full support to eliminate menace of terrorism from the area,” the ISPR said.
