The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday prepared the code of conduct for the upcoming elections.
The electoral watchdog had prepared the code of conduct based on 88 points. According to the code of conduct, the senators and the local representatives will be able to run the election campaign.
The announcement of the development projects will be prohibited.
No one will be allowed to speak against the judiciary and the ideology of the country.
In line with the ECP’s code of conduct, the political parties and their candidates will not give the proposal of giving bribery and gifts.
The political parties will be bound to give tickets to women for five percent of the general seats.
The exhibition of the weapons at public gatherings will be prohibited.
According to the electoral watchdog, political parties will not be allowed to run their election campaigns on the expenses of national wealth.
Nobody will be allowed to speak about sectarianism. The political parties will not be allowed to stage protests outside of the country.
The ECP made it clear that the polling agent should belong to the concerned constituency.
None of the political parties will be allowed to install their flags on public buildings.
The ECP will issue the code of conduct after wrapping up the consultations with all the political parties.
