The funeral prayers of Lieutenant Colonel Syed Kashif Ali and Captain Muhammad Badr Shaheed who were martyred in the terrorist attack in Mir Ali Tehsil of North Waziristan were offered at Chaklala Garrison Rawalpindi on Sunday.
ISPR in a statement issued said President, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and Army Chief participated along with foreign minister, interior minister and other officials.
Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, senior military officers and families of martyrs along with the Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Committee, ISPR participated in the funeral prayers.
President Asif Ali Zardari said entire nation stood with the armed forces. Pakistan Army spokesperson said martyrs will be cremated with full military honors in native areas.
President Asif Ali Zardari expressed condolences to the heirs of the martyrs.
President Zardari said that the entire nation stands with our armed forces. He said Pakistan Army has consistently maintained the ideals of faith, unity and discipline, guided by these enduring principles.
“Pakistan Army has always displayed professionalism in its relentless fight against terrorism and established high standards of loyalty,” he addressed at the funeral prayers.
“This great sacrifice stands as yet another magnificent testimony of the unwavering determination of our brave sons, who never hesitated to sacrifice for the defense of their motherland,” Asif Ali Zardari said.

Seven Pakistan Army soldiers were martyred in an attack by a group of terrorists on a security forces' post and the following clearance operation in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations, a group of six terrorists attacked the checkpost in the early hours of Saturday.
