Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday extended his "best wishes" to King Charles III.
British High Commissioner Jane Marriott called on PM Shehbaz at Prime Minister House in Islamabad. On this occasion, matters in line with the country's economic situation and development projects were underscored.
Both PM Shehbaz and Jane had also discussed the matters in connection with the bilateral ties.
PM Shehbaz had expressed his gratitude to the British leadership for felicitating the former on becoming prime minister.
The premier resolved to join hands with the British leadership in a bid to further strengthen the ties between the two countries.
PM Shehbaz said: "Pakistan wishes to take the ties with the UK to the next level in line with the better strategic partnership agreement."
The premier urged the need to resume the flights of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) between the two countries.
