The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has orchestrated a major reshuffle within the Pakistan Customs Service, affecting the roles of 34 officers spanning grades 20 to 17.
A notification detailing these changes has been issued, marking a notable restructuring within the customs apparatus of the country.
Among the notable appointments, Irfan Javed, a seasoned official holding the esteemed grade 20 position, has been appointed as the Collector of Gwadar, a strategic port city of immense importance to Pakistan's economic landscape.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Nadeem Memon has been directed to report to Islamabad as the Chief of FBR Headquarters.
Further, Naveed Iqbal, also holding the prestigious grade 20 designation, has been transferred to assume the position of Director of Transit Trade in Gwadar.
In a parallel development, Mohammad Shoaib Qazi has been tasked to report to the Additional Collector's office in Taftan, highlighting the importance of border trade management along the Pakistan-Iran frontier.
Additionally, Athar Naveed, holding grade 19 credentials, has been appointed as the Additional Collector for the Collectorate of Customs in Sargodha.
Sajid Ali Baloch has been instructed to report to the Additional Collector's office in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Moreover, Sanam Qureshi has been designated as the Additional Director of the Pakistan Customs Academy in Karachi, a key institution responsible for training and development within the customs service.
Lastly, Haseeb Hassan has been directed to report to the Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation in Lahore as an Assistant Collector.
