The Lahore Zoo has announced its closure during Eidul Fitr due to the ongoing construction work.
While children won't be able to visit the zoo, Safari and Jallo Park will remain open to offer alternative options for entertainment during the holiday.
The closure of Lahore Zoo is attributed to necessary construction work that is still underway. According to authorities, another month is required to complete the ongoing renovations.
The construction efforts aim to enhance the zoo's infrastructure and facilities for both visitors and the animals.
A significant highlight of the ongoing renovation is the installation of a hologram within the zoo premises, as revealed by the Wildlife Director General Mudassar Riaz. This futuristic addition is expected to provide an innovative and immersive experience for visitors once the construction is complete.
After a month, Riaz promised, guests and kids would be able to see an updated, cutting-edge zoo featuring a holographic zoo and many new animals. He stated that in addition to other new amenities and new animals, plans were afoot to build a fish aquarium at the zoo.
Along with a contemporary food court, the new, updated appearance would feature glass enclosures for tigers, lions, and leopards that were deep enough for people to walk inside of them. In addition, a veterinary hospital will be built, large mammal enclosures for giraffes, hippos, rhinos, and bears will be improved, and monkey houses will be redesigned.
A contemporary food court will have an amphitheatre as well. Together with the construction of an auditorium, office buildings will be renovated.
