Roger Federer, the Swiss tennis maestro, expressed his longing for tennis and his commitment to staying connected to the sport despite his retirement last year.
Speaking after the first day of the Laver Cup in Vancouver, Federer, a 20-time Grand Slam champion, described his life as intense and beautiful after his farewell match in London last year.
He mentioned missing the excitement of being on the court, saving break points, winning match points, holding trophies, and interacting with fans.
While he enjoys spending time at home with family and friends, he acknowledged missing the places he used to travel to regularly during his 25-year career.
Federer, who has been involved in various projects, expressed his desire to return to the tennis tour from time to time and not remain a stranger to the sport. He also mentioned his interest in potentially captaining Team Europe in the Laver Cup in the future.
