The Meteorological Department has predicted rain and hail at a few places today in Punjab and Balochistan.
As per the Meteorological Department, heavy rain is also expected in some places of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir, Islamabad and surrounding areas are expected to be cloudy with rain, and there is a risk of landslides in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Galiyat, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, Swat, Chitral, Mansehra, Kohistan and local rivers of Kashmir are at a risk of flooding.
In different cities of Punjab, including Lahore, the heatwave drops due to rain, and the weather becomes pleasant due to light and heavy rain in different cities.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in Islamabad, Punjab, North-Eastern Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa today and hailstorms in a few places.

As per the PDMA, there is a chance of rain in some places in Lahore, South Punjab; however, there have also been clouds and rain in Malakand, Jacobabad, and Shikarpur, and there has been a hailstorm in Quetta.
LESCO has restored 220 electricity trip feeders, while Lahore city's current temperature is 20 degree Celsius.
The Punjab PDMA has forecast that a new wave of showers may continue till April 30 and has issued ordered all district administrations to remain alert.
It has also directed the district administration to take preemptive measures over possible heavy rains, while landslides are also feared in upper districts. It has also directed the district administration to ensure availability of small and large machinery.
The PDMA director general has instructed tourists and the local population to take precautionary measures in sensitive upland areas. In case of any emergency, all the agencies concerned should remain vigilant in maintaining road communication links, he added.
In case of road closure, alternative routes should be provided for traffic, the DG instructed. Passengers should be warned in advance regarding closures on provincial and national highways in sensitive areas.
He has also ordered to ensure availability of emergency services personnel and that tourists should be informed about the weather situation on time. "Rains and snowfall are likely to continue intermittently till April 29," he said.
