The USA Cricket announced on Saturday that former New Zealand all-rounder Corey Anderson will be joining the national team squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup in June.
Anderson, who notably played for New Zealand in the 2015 50-overs World Cup final against Australia and represented them in two T20 World Cups, last played for his home country in 2018.
His debut for the USA team took place during the recent home T20 series against Canada.
The 33-year-old Anderson's inclusion will add experience to the 15-member squad, which will be led by wicketkeeper-batter Monank Patel
The USA team will engage in a series of preparatory matches. Before their World Cup campaign kicks off on June 1 against Canada in Dallas, the US are scheduled to play three T20 internationals against Bangladesh in Houston, gearing up for the challenge ahead.
