Islamabad High Court (IHC) Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir Monday ordered the jail officials to place Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Chaudhry Parvez Ealhi under house arrest within 15 days at his residence.
The IHC announced a reserved ruling in the case of Qaisara Elahi to shift his husband Parvez Elahi — imprisoned in Adiala Jail — to his residence.
Qaisara Elahi pleaded with IHC that Pervez Elahi was 78 years old and had health concerns.
She prayed to IHC that her husband may be placed under house arrest and transferred to the sub-jail within 15 days.
The court directed the jail authorities to make sure Parvez Elahi had access to adequate facilities and medical attention while under house arrest.
