Pakistan and Japan managed to draw a thriller in the 30th edition of the Sultan Azlan Shah Hockey Cup on Tuesday.
According to details, Japan took the lead in the 33rd minute, when Ken Nagayoshi scored a goal successfully through a penalty corner.
Interestingly, it was in the last minute of the game that the Green Shirts could hold the nerves, courtesy of Rana Waheed Ashraf's brilliance, who scored a goal to avert defeat.
Pakistan will play their fourth match against Canada on May 8. The Men in Green will lock horns against New Zealand on May 10.
Earlier on Sunday, the Pakistan hockey team won the match against South Korea by 5-4 in the Azlan Shah Cup on Sunday.
The Green Shirts had outplayed Korea by 4-0. Hannan Shahid, Arshad Liaqat, Ghazanfar Ali, and Sufyan Khan scored four goals each for Pakistan to sweep past Korea.
This was Pakistan's second victory in the tournament. Earlier, the visitors had won against Malaysia by 5-4.
