Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has sought Chinese continuous cooperation for the early implementation of the Azad Pattan and Kohala hydropower projects.
According to details, Iqbal held a meeting with the Chairman of the Chairman of the National Energy Administration of China on Friday. On this occasion, it was resolved to diversify the energy mix toward clean and renewable energy.
The green corridor is the key pillar of the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) phase II. In CPEC Phase I, the power crisis was managed through the projects.
"The government is looking to go for reforms in the power sector," Iqbal said.

"It is the topmost priority to ensure the protection of the Chinese citizens, who are working in Pakistan," he added.
