An investiture ceremony was held for the Karachi Corps with the chief guest at the event being Karachi Corps Commander Lieutenant General Babar Iftikhar.
During the ceremony, Pakistan Army officers and soldiers were conferred with awards such as Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military), Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military), and Tamgha-i-Basalat.
On behalf of the martyrs, the next of kin of nine soldiers received their Tamgha-i-Basalat. For their meritorious services to the country, 19 officers received the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz and 14 officers received the Sitara-i-Imtiaz.
Families of the recipients, as well as numerous senior army officers, were present at the ceremony.
Corps Commander Lt Gen Iftikhar also interacted with the martyrs' families and paid heartfelt tribute to their sacrifices.
