Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended Eid greetings to the leaders of Bangladesh and Malaysia during separate telephone conversations, reaffirming Pakistan's commitment to strengthening bilateral ties with both nations.
During his call with Bangladesh’s Chief Advisor, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, PM Shehbaz expressed satisfaction over the existing Pakistan-Bangladesh relations and emphasized boosting trade and cultural exchanges. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation. The prime minister also highlighted the upcoming visit of Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar to Dhaka in April, which will include a trade delegation. Additionally, he proposed that Bangladesh send a cultural delegation to Pakistan and reiterated his invitation for Dr. Yunus to visit.
In his conversation with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, PM Shehbaz expressed contentment over the positive trajectory of Pakistan-Malaysia relations and reaffirmed his desire to further strengthen cooperation. The Malaysian premier also briefed him on the preparations for Shehbaz Sharif’s expected visit to Kuala Lumpur. During the call, Anwar Ibrahim also had a brief exchange with former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, where both leaders conveyed best wishes.
The telephonic discussions highlighted Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to deepen regional ties and expand diplomatic, trade, and cultural partnerships with key allies.
