Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Gujranwala special court Judge Muhammad Naeem Sheikh has sentenced the prime culprit Muhammad Mumtaz to a total of 60 years in prison and imposed a hefty fine of Rs4.2 million in the tragic Greece boat incident.
Mumtaz was found guilty on three counts under the Immigration Ordinance of 1979. Muhammad Mumtaz faced charges related to human smuggling.
The FIA special court's ruling sets a precedent for future cases involving human trafficking and emphasizes the importance of stringent enforcement of laws to prevent such tragedies.
