Lahore Police has prepared a security plan for the return of PMLN supremo Nawaz Sharifand it has been decided to ensure tight security measures from the Allama Iqbal International Airport to Minar-e-Pakistan.
Police said: “In view of possible political tension, anti-rights force will be on alert. In police meeting, it was decided to use all resources to restore law and order in the wake of any untoward incident.”
Police and Traffic Police officials also visited the route from Airport to Minar-e-Pakistan.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz said on Friday that there were no alterations in former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s return plans.
Speaking to Samaa TV exclusively in London, Ms Nawaz said: “The preparations to welcome Nawaz Sharif to the country are going on with great verve. We will give a great response to those who are doing propaganda regarding Nawaz Sharif’s return.”
