Acclaimed television actor Faisal Qureshi responded to his mother Afshan Qureshi’s statement in which she regretted not praying for his son to be a good son and a human being apart from being a good actor.
Talking to the SAMAA Digital program ‘Meri Saheli’, Faisal Qureshi said the people on Instagram and YouTube flipped her mother's statement to mere attention seeking tactic.
Faysal also pointed out people’s behavior that by and large people show attention to the negative sides of things instead of good aspects.
The actor said he laughed on the matter that stirred a storm in a teacup about his relationship with her mother and also advised her mother not to issue any clarification. However, Faysal Qureshi’s mother clarified the interview clip that went viral.
“I was laughing at those people who were making an issue of the statement of my mother. As if, they were not ever scolded by their parents,” the actor said.
“It was funny,” the termed the unwanted buzz on her mother’s statement about him. Faysal Qureshi said it was true that anyone could simply twist the facts to get attention on social media.
Commenting on the fake news on social media, Faysal Qureshi said his friend forwarded a YouTube video in which it was claimed that Faysal was selling his Gulberg House. “I clarified to my friend it was not my house. I owned that house in a TV shooting for a drama,” he said.

In an edited clip of Afshan Qureshi's lengthy interview that has gone viral, she is seen discussing the character and personality of her son Faisal Qureshi.
The actor's mother says that she prayed to God for her son's success and her prayers were answered, but she mistakenly did not pray that her son would be a good son and a human being. The actress talked on behalf of the children about leaving their parents in old houses.
