Pakistan team management on Wednesday decided to release fast bowler Hasan Ali from the team squad ahead of the England series.
According to details, the team management had decided to ask Ali to again take up his responsibility in the English county.
Ali was representing Warwickshire in the English county. He played a T20I match against Ireland recently, during which he conceded 42 runs in 3 overs.
Pakistan and England will lock horns today in Leeds.
Earlier, Ali was included in the Pakistan squad as the backup to fast bowler Haris Rauf.
Separately, few days back, it was reported that Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf and batter Usman Khan were expected to play the first T20I against England in the upcoming series.
Sources divulged that Rauf and Khan were not given the opportunity to play in the series against Ireland. Usman Khan can replace Saim Ayub in the playing XI.
According to sources, fast bowler Naseem Shah is also expected to be included in the playing XI. It was also considered whether to go with Shadab Khan and Abrar Ahmed in the series.
Pakistan team management had decided to field the team with full strength. The final decision will be taken following consultation with Pakistan white-ball coach Gary Kirsten.
