National Accountability Bureau (NAB) raided Bahria Town’s Rawalpindi office.
An investigation has been initiated against Bahria Town for irregularities.
SAMAA TV reported that an investigation also started on Bahria Enclave land. Capital Development Authority (CDA) had allotted the land for the zoo. The anti-graft watchdog team raided the Bahria Town office to take custody of records.
According to sources, NAB has raided the corporate office of Bahria Town Rawalpindi and the NAB team stayed there for more than two hours.
The NAB team seized important records from the Bahria Town office, including files of various private housing society projects and other records.
During the raid, the NAB team also recovered digital evidence and data from the computers.
Punjab Police and elite force personnel were also accompanied NAB team.
Sources said that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has also started an investigation on the land of Bahria Enclave and irregularities in the acquisition of all the lands of Bahria Town will also be looked into.
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) had earmarked the Bahria Enclave land for the zoo.
It is pertinent to note that NAB has already completed its investigation in the Al-Qadir Trust case and Malik Riaz, the owner of the housing society, has been declared admiral in the reference.

It is pertinent to note that Bahria Town Karachi had occupied 3,031 acres of additional land than what was agreed with the Supreme Court.
That was revealed in a report submitted to the apex court by a 10-member survey team headed by the Karachi commissioner on the land occupied by Bahria Town, Karachi.
The Supreme Court resumed the hearing of the non-payment of Rs460 billion from Bahria Town.
The report revealed that Bahria Town Karachi has occupied 3,031 acres of land, more than the amount agreed.
The report was submitted to the court in a case of recovery of Rs460 billion from Bahria Town, Karachi. The report revealed that the housing society possessed a piece of land beyond what was agreed in the contract.
According to the court decision, 16,896 acres of land were agreed for Bahria Town, Karachi. However, it currently possesses 19,931 acres, according to the report.
Bahria Town has occupied 3,031 acres more than the size agreed upon with the court. Of this, 813 acres fell in Malir district and 2,222 in Jamshoro.
