Pakistan honors the brave men who have participated in United Nations peacekeeping endeavors, reflecting the country's steadfast commitment to promoting peace, alleviating human suffering, and fostering enduring stability in regions afflicted by conflict and turmoil.
As the largest contributor of troops to UN peacekeeping missions, Pakistan's contributions have been significant. Since 1960, Pakistan has deployed approximately 235,000 troops in 48 UN peacekeeping missions across 29 countries, spanning nearly all continents.
Presently, around 3,000 Pakistani peacekeeping troops are actively engaged in missions across several countries, including the Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan, Central African Republic, Cyprus, Western Sahara, and Somalia.
The Pakistani peacekeeping forces demonstrate remarkable skill and dedication in fulfilling the mandates of UN peacekeeping missions, contributing significantly to the organization's global peace efforts.
