In a major boost to Pakistan’s economy, new oil and gas reserves have been discovered in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while production has been restored in Sindh with the installation of modern pumps.
According to a letter sent to the Pakistan Stock Exchange by the Oil and Gas Development Company, the Chandna Seven well in the Kohat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has yielded 305 barrels of crude oil reserves and 2.5 million cubic feet of gas reserves.
Additionally, 3 metric tons of LPG will be produced from the well, which is connected to the plant through a 1.3 km flow line. The supply of gas from the new reservoir to Sui Northern Gas Company has already started.
In Sindh, the installation of modern pumps at eight wells in Kannada has restored oil and gas production. The Kunar 8 wells are now producing 540 barrels of crude oil per day.
