Brooks Koepka, the sole representative from the Saudi Arabia-backed LIV Golf tour at this year's Ryder Cup in Rome, responded to criticisms from fellow LIV Golf players who missed out on the USA's Ryder Cup team.
Koepka, who narrowly missed automatic qualification despite leaving the PGA Tour last year, suggested that players should focus on improving their game if they want a spot in future Ryder Cup tournaments.
He emphasised that everyone had the same opportunity and that "playing better" is the key to earning a place on the team.
Koepka made it clear that he is in Italy to represent the USA, not other LIV Golf players, and highlighted his commitment to the team's unity.
He secured his Ryder Cup spot with a strong performance in major tournaments and expressed his motivation to join the team, especially after his performance at the Masters.
The 44th Ryder Cup is set to begin with four foursome matches on Friday morning.
