Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif chaired a meeting on the issue of the Petroleum Division and directed him to prepare a strategy regarding the gasification of Thar Coal.
During the meeting, a briefing was given on the progress and proposals regarding the petroleum and gas sectors.
Smart meters will be installed to prevent theft from oil and gas pipelines. In the briefing, it was told that work is underway on the policy related to electric bikes, vehicles, household products that run on electricity.
Prime Minister said that we need to focus on the promotion of alternative energy sources, especially solar energy.
PM Shehbaz was directed to prepare a strategy regarding the gasification of Thar coal and take necessary steps related to the railway line to access other areas of Thar coal.
Shehbaz Sharif said that Thar Coal is of utmost importance for Pakistan's energy needs.
The primer presided over the meeting on the affairs of the Petroleum Division. “We need to focus on promoting alternative energy, especially solar energy,” he said.
