Awn Chaudry, leader of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) and a Member of the National Assembly, made a bold statement on Tuesday.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, he expressed readiness to align with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) if they apologize for what he referred to as the May 9 tragedy.
The IPP leader accused PTI of conspiring against Pakistan, alleging the misuse of a PR firm to undermine the country’s interests.
Specifically, he pointed fingers at Zulfi Bukhari for allegedly writing a letter against Pakistan to the UN Working Group, a practice he claims has been ongoing since 2016.
Chaudry emphasized that the same lobbying firm involved in the cipher drama has been employed by these individuals.
In his address, the IPP leader vehemently condemned what he described as a malicious campaign against Pakistan and its armed forces. He questioned the financial sources behind these activities, claiming knowledge of the entire money trail.
According to Chaudhry, the objective of these actions is to sow chaos and instability within the country, posing a severe threat even beyond its borders.
He also urged those involved to return to Pakistan and engage in dialogue to address these issues, emphasizing the urgency of safeguarding national interests and unity.
