Islamabad High Court (IHC) Chief Justice Amir Farooq addressing the Islamabad High Court Bar Association Thursday said that a verdict in anger is not the right decision.
Chief Justice Amir Farooq addressed a gathering of lawyers, emphasizing the importance of their role in the judicial system. "We have to play our role and leave, then you have to play your role," he told the lawyers. He advised bar associations not to shy away from hard work or take shortcuts and urged senior lawyers to guide the future of young lawyers.
Chief Justice Farooq also highlighted the significance of judicial decisions, stating, "I believe the judgment of the judge speaks volumes." Reflecting on a statement by former Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial, he noted that although many enter the Bar, only the hard workers succeed.
In the courtroom, Chief Justice Farooq observed that lawyers' ties and hair often fly around, a sight that initially irritated him but now overlooks. "People look to us for justice," he remarked, stressing the importance of lawyers' preparation, evident from their conduct on the rostrum.
He shared his background and mentioned his association with former Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar's chamber, where he learned the intricacies of preparing notices.
