The founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has challenged the rejection of interim bails in three cases related to the events of May 9, in the Lahore High Court.
The cases involve incidents at Jinnah House, Shadman Police Station, and Askari Tower.
In his petitions, the PTI founder argued that the Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore dismissed his bail applications without proper consideration of the facts.
He contended that the decisions to deny bail were unjust and requested the Lahore High Court to overturn these rulings.
The petitions specifically ask the Lahore High Court to nullify the trial court’s decisions and grant interim bail in all three cases.
The PTI founder maintains that the Anti-Terrorism Court's decisions were not based on an accurate assessment of the circumstances surrounding the incidents.
The cases in question stem from charges related to the unrest and violent incidents that occurred on May 9. The PTI founder's legal team contends that the anti-terrorism court's dismissal of bail was unjustified and seeks relief from the higher court.
