Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has expressed concerns over the impact of anti-terrorism operations on people’s lives.
On Wednesday, he visited the family of former senator Hidayatullah Shaheed to offer his condolences to his brother, Dr. Inayatullah, and other family members.
During the visit, Maulana Fazlur Rehman prayed for Hidayatullah Shaheed, asking Allah to forgive him and elevate his status.
In his remarks, he highlighted the ongoing distress faced by the people, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, due to security operations.
The JUI chief stated, “The life and property of people across the country, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, are in a dire state. People’s lives are being made miserable in the name of operations against terrorism.”
He emphasized the need for a more balanced approach that safeguards citizens' well-being while addressing security concerns.
