Welfare initiatives for local residents in Balochistan continue to be funded by revenues from the region's natural resources. The Pakistan Army, FC Balochistan (North), and oil company OGDCL are collaborating on various projects in health, education, and other sectors.
Over the past five years, 659 million rupees have been spent on education and skill development, 335 million on health, and 228 million on natural disaster relief. Scholarships worth 175 million rupees have been provided to over 200 students from Balochistan for higher education at major national institutions.
In Dera Bugti district, three healthcare units have been established, 22 ambulances provided for DHQs, and free medical camps are being conducted to provide health facilities to local residents.
Mazhar Mari, a resident of Kohlu district, reported receiving scholarships from OGDCL for higher education opportunities. During floods, OGDCL provided tents and other relief items to affected residents.
