The ongoing spell of monsoon rains is expected to persist across Punjab until July 25, according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) spokesman.
He further said that the rains are anticipated to bring relief from the prevailing heat and humidity, offering a much-needed respite for residents.
The PDMA spokesperson confirmed that most districts in the province are likely to experience rainfall in the coming days. This consistent rainfall is expected to significantly reduce the intensity of heat and humidity.
In light of the weather forecast, PDMA DG Irfan Kathia has urged the administrations of major cities to remain vigilant and ensure complete advance preparations.

The alert emphasizes the need for readiness to manage potential impacts of the monsoon rains, particularly in urban areas where infrastructure and public safety could be at risk.
The DG has warned that the storms accompanying the monsoon rains could pose a threat to infrastructure, including electric poles and solar panels.
"The storm can damage electric poles and solar panels," stated Kathia, adding that an official alert has been issued to the relevant administrative bodies to ensure they are prepared to handle any emergencies that may arise due to the heavy rains.
On Tuesday morning, Lahore experienced heavy rainfall in various areas, leading to localized flooding. Gulshan-e-Ravi recorded the highest rainfall with 45mm. Other areas such as Gulberg, Lakshmi Chowk, Tajpura, and Mughalpura also reported significant rainfall.
Gujrat, on the other hand, faced severe challenges as the main highways and streets were submerged after an hour of rain, with water entering homes.
