Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation sealed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) central office once again on Tuesday.
The building has been sealed due to a lack of fire and life safety arrangements.
This development came after PTI senator Shibli Faraz Monday claimed that Islamabad Capital Territory Police (ICT) encircled the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) secretariat in Islamabad and arrested PTI chairman Barrister Gohar and party spokesperson Rauf Hasan.
A large contingent of Police reached outside the PTI secretariat along with women police personnel.
Shibli Faraz claimed that the PTI chairman and Rauf Hasan were arrested by the ICT Police. PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar talking to SAMAA TV clarified he was not arrested by the ICT Police and only Raoof Hasan has been arrested.
Barrister Gohar reached Parliament House after the ICT Police face-off. “Police took me in their official vehicle but later dropped me off at my residence,” he told SAMAA TV. Gohar said Police informed him that he wasn’t wanted in any FIR.
PTI chairman said he was not investigated in any matter. Law enforcement personnel in action
The law enforcement agencies took action and arrested people involved in the propaganda including the PTI spokesperson Raoof Hasan.
Sources claimed PTI digital media center has been working as the epicenter of disinformation. The sources further claimed that the raid was conducted on the tip-off by PTI international social media activists.
