Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has expressed deep concern over the tragic events that recently unfolded in the Kurram area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, urging local leaders to play a positive role in finding a sustainable solution to the conflict.
The government is committed to providing all possible assistance to resolve the matter and promote peace in the region, he claimed.
In a meeting with a delegation from Kurram, led by MNA Hameed Hussain from Majlis-e-Wahdatul Muslimeen, Minister Naqvi conveyed his deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the clashes.
Naqvi emphasized the need for unity and harmony, stating that the conflict between the two groups had been misrepresented and that collective efforts are essential for fostering brotherhood in the area.
"The government will provide all possible assistance to resolve the matter," Naqvi assured the delegation. He highlighted the importance of collaboration among community leaders to ensure a peaceful and lasting resolution to the conflict.

The delegation included prominent figures from Kurram, such as Munir Hussain, Prof Shabbir Bangash, Bashir Bangash, Rahim Gul, and Haji Noor Rehman. The minister also called the leading figures of both the warring groups of Karam to engage constructively and work towards reconciliation and harmony.
On Tuesday, deadly clashes over an alleged ‘land dispute’ between two tribes in Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ended after six days of deadly warfare. The Kurram deputy commissioner said security personnel have been deployed after clearing the fronts from the parties.
According to the police, the Parachinar-Peshawar highway was closed to all kinds of traffic for the seventh day due to which farmers, travelers, and traders are facing difficulties. Heavy police and security deployment was ensured in the troubled area, while normal life came to a standstill due to the tense situation.
Police officials said that 49 people were killed and 200 injured in the clashes during six days.
As per media reports, 210 people sustained injuries amid violent clashes. District Headquarters Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Mir Hassan Jan said the killing of 14 more people on Monday took the death toll to 49.
