The Accountability Court in Islamabad has issued a written order for the physical remand of the PTI founder and his wife, Bushra Bibi, in connection with the Toshakhana case.
The court has directed that both accused be presented again on August 19, along with a progress report on the investigation.
As per the court’s order, further investigation is required, including recording the statements of the former Prime Minister’s ADC and other protocol staff members.
The court emphasized the need to question the accused regarding the recent revelations from the ADC and to trace additional jewelry items that were allegedly purchased.
Although a questionnaire has already been delivered to the accused, their statements are yet to be officially recorded.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had requested a 14-day physical remand, but the court approved an 11-day remand instead.
