The Rawalpindi Police have completed the initial phase of their investigation into Bushra Bibi concerning her alleged involvement in the May 9 incidents.
The investigation was carried out under the supervision of SP Faisal Saleem, with the team visiting Adiala Jail where Bushra Bibi is currently detained.
According to sources, the police team questioned Bushra Bibi for about 30 minutes. The interrogation took place in the presence of DSP Shazia, and focused on her alleged role in organizing protests that led to arson and other violent activities in Rawalpindi.
The investigators sought answers regarding the planning and execution of these protests, especially those held in front of sensitive locations.
In addition to SP Faisal Saleem, the investigation team included DSP Sikander, DSP Shazia, and other officers such as Inspector Qaiser, Yakub Shah, and Hasnain Ali.
The officers involved in the GHQ gate and Army Museum attack cases were also part of the team, highlighting the seriousness of the investigation.
The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has instructed the police to complete the investigation against Bushra Bibi within a week. This comes after the court granted her bail on August 12 in 12 separate cases.
