In a retaliatory action, Punjab Police in the Kacha area of Machka in Rahim Yar Khan killed the main accused Bashir Shar responsible for killing 12 policemen with the use of the latest and modern weapons.
Bashir Sher was one of the main suspects in the attack on the police personnel in the Machka area of Rahim Yar Khan.
Punjab Police spokesman said two accomplices of bandit Bashir Shar were injured.
Operation update from Punjab, Sindh border area
Punjab Inspector General Dr Usman Anwar vowed to carry out a Punjab Police operation to eliminate the robbers involved in the gruesome incident.
“All the accused involved in the attack on the police personnel will be brought to justice,” IG Punjab Dr Usman said.
Punjab Sindh border situation
After the attack on Punjab Police personnel in the Machka area, security beefed up in Ghotki.
"Officials have been alerted at the police posts in Kucha and Pakka," SSP Ghotki said.
Police stationed at entry and exit routes and the police force has been increased in Bachao Band and Kacha area, the SSP said.
Sindh, Punjab Police working together: Punjab IG
Punjab IG Dr. Usman Anwar talking to the media person in Rahim Yar Khan said a Police operation was conducted in the area last night wherein the main accused was killed while four to five of his accompanies sustained injuries.
He clarified that Sindh and Punjab Police are working jointly in the operation. “Today Sindh DIG has come while we are in contact with the Sindh IG.”
Punjab top cop said Punjab Police conducting an operation based on intelligence. “Sindh is also strengthening the checkpoints in Kacha area,” Punjab IG said.
