The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has apprehended a student in Islamabad, who was preparing for the CSS exam, on charges of supplying drugs to educational institutions, including student hostels.
According to an ANF spokesperson, efforts to curb drug use in educational environments have intensified, leading to this significant arrest.
The arrest was made during a raid near a private student hostel in the federal capital, based on intelligence reports. The suspect, a highly educated youth from Chagai, was found in possession of 120 grams of a dangerous and expensive drug.
Despite being engaged in his own CSS exam preparation, the young man was reportedly involved in distributing narcotics to students in a major educational institution and hostels in Islamabad.
During initial questioning, the accused confessed to selling drugs to university students and those residing in hostels. A case has been registered against him under the Narcotics Control Act, and further investigations are underway.
In addition to this arrest, ANF's ongoing operations against drug trafficking across the country have led to the recovery of 234 kilograms of drugs worth over 20 million rupees in four separate operations, resulting in the arrest of five suspects.
