The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday announced the schedule for the inaugural Champions Cup.
According to the details, the tournament will kick off from September 12 to September 29 at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad. 150 players will be part of the domestic tournament. The Panthers and Wolves will lock horn in the tournament opener.
The 50-over tournament will be played on the basis of the single league. Along with the Panthers and Wolves, the Dolphins, Stallions, and Lions will also be part of the domestic white-ball tournament.
Earlier, the PCB had announced the mentors of the five teams. Former fast bowler Waqar Younis, ex-captain Misbahul Haq, legendary spinner Saqlain Mushtaq, ace all-rounder Shoaib Malik, and wicketkeeper Sarfraz Ahmed will be the mentors of the teams in the Champions Cup.
