The Pakistan Army has established a mini freelancing hub in Gilgit-Baltistan's Ghizer District, marking a significant development in the region's digital infrastructure. This initiative, launched under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), is located at the Government Boys Higher Secondary School in Phandar.
Shaheen Baig, the school's principal, reported that the hub was completed and delivered in a short time frame. The facility comes equipped with free internet access, aimed at enhancing the digital skills of local students and youth.
The principal emphasized the importance of this resource for the area, stating that it was much needed and will significantly benefit the talented students. He expressed gratitude towards the Pakistan Army for this contribution.
Local residents and youth have also welcomed the initiative, thanking both the Pakistan Army and SIFC for their efforts in bringing digital opportunities to the region.
This project represents a strategic move to leverage Gilgit-Baltistan's human resources by providing access to global digital markets through freelancing platforms.
