The Met Department has issued a weather advisory for Wednesday, predicting a continuation of hot and dry conditions in Islamabad and its adjoining areas.
Despite the dry spell, rain is expected to bring some relief to various regions across the country in the afternoon.
The cities of Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Tharparkar, Ghotki, Shikarpur, Sukkur, Larkana, Shaheed Benazirabad, Kashmore, Dadu, Sanghar, and Khairpur are likely to experience rainfall today.
Rain is expected in the northern and central regions, including Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Chakwal, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sialkot, Narowal, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Sahiwal, and Toba Tek Singh. Additionally, rain is also expected in Pakpattan, Multan, Khanewal, Rajanpur, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, and Rahim Yar Khan.
Showers are anticipated in the hilly areas of Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Battagram, Kohistan, and Swat, offering some respite from the warm temperatures.

The weather department has predicted rain in Zhob, Musakhel, Barkhan, Loralai, Kohlu, and Sibi. Additionally, rain is expected in Nasirabad, Jhal Magsi, Kalat, Lasbela, Khuzdar, Awaran, and Kech, providing much-needed moisture to these arid regions.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has directed the departments concerned to remain on high alert in the wake of potential urban flooding across the province. With heavy rains expected, the CM has specifically instructed the administration in Dera Ghazi Khan to remain vigilant due to the risk of floods and landslides in the Koh Sulaiman region.
Punjab's chief executive has emphasized the importance of swift action to ensure the rapid drainage of rainwater from low-lying areas, particularly in major cities like Lahore. She has directed that all available resources be mobilized to manage the situation effectively.
