Pakistan former cricketer Sarfraz Ahmed on Wednesday stressed the need for backing the national team despite shortcomings against Bangladesh in the Test series in home conditions at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.
Expressing his thoughts, Ahmed said: "I am playing cricket. When I feel that I cannot play cricket, I will bid farewell to the competitive cricket."
"I am ready for the central contract and fitness test if get called," he said.
Speaking about the forthcoming Champions One-Day Cup, Ahmed, who had also been appointed as the Dolphins mentor, said: "I will be the mentor of the Dolphins team and Karachi will be the center of our side."
"I will play in the Champions Cup, but may not spearhead the team," he said.
Ahmed said: "The players have been picked up after thinking a lot."
