Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his complete satisfaction with the operational preparedness of the Pakistan Army, the army’s media wing said on Thursday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), PM Shehbaz had attended the concluding ceremony of the Army War Game at Rawalpindi. The premier was briefed about the war game and the Pakistan Army's operational preparations.
The premier commended the vital role of the Armed Forces in upholding strategic stability and preserving the delicate balance of power essential for peace in nuclearised South Asia.
PM Shehbaz acknowledged the innovative employment concepts and structural reforms aimed at enhancing the deterrence regime, which will ensure the imposition of retributive costs on any adversary in the event of aggression.
The military topbrass expressed resolve to safeguard the national sovereignty and territorial integrity at all costs.
The military leadership remained fully cognisant of the prevailing security challenges and resolved to continue to enhance its capabilities to foil any aggressive designs against Pakistan.
Prominent among those who attended the ceremony were Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen. Asim Munir, other military top brass, the defense minister, the finance minister, and the and the information minister.
