Pakistan wicketkeeper batter Mohammad Rizwan, top-order batter Babar Azam, and fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi to brace for the Champions One-Day Cup challenge, slated to happen from September 12 (Thursday) at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad.
According to details, this is for the first time the Champions One-Day Cup will be featured in the domestic circuit of Pakistan cricket following the Green Shirts horrendous run in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 and shortcomings against Bangladesh in the red-ball format in the home soil.
The tournament will feature 14 matches, with the five teams looking to clinch the trophy by showing passion for the game.

Shadab Khan to spearhead the Panthers, the team that will be mentored by legendary off-spinner Saqlain Mushtaq.
Lions will be mentored by Waqar Younis and captained by Shaheen Shah Afridi.
Mohammad Haris will lead the Stallions, and ace all-rounder Shoaib Malik will be the mentor of the team.

Mohammad Rizwan will be the captain of the Wolves, and former Pakistan skipper Misbahul Haq will be the mentor of the Wolves.
Former Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed will be the mentor of the Dolphins, while Saud Shakeel will be the captain of the Dolphins.
