The Met Department has forecast hot and dry weather across most regions of the country, with only a few areas expecting light rain or thunder-showers. The current weather pattern is expected to persist in the coming days.
According to the Meteorological Department, dry and hot conditions will prevail in most parts of the country, including major cities like Islamabad and Lahore. The weather in Sindh, including Karachi, is also expected to remain dry and hot, although light drizzle may occur in a few areas of Karachi.
In Punjab, the weather is predicted to be hot and dry across the province. The same conditions are expected in Balochistan, with strong winds and thunder-showers likely in a few places, including Panjgur, Kech, and Turbat and their adjoining areas.
The weather in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) will be dry in the plains, while upper districts, such as Chitral, Dir, Swat, Bajaur, Khyber and Kurram may experience rain accompanied by strong winds and thunder-showers.
Murree, along with nearby areas like Galiyat, will have partly cloudy weather. In Gilgit-Baltistan, there are also chances of thundershowers with strong winds in some areas, as the region braces for potentially unsettled weather.
In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the weather will remain dry with partly cloudy skies.
Karachi weather update
Karachi will remain partly cloudy over the next 24 hours, with the minimum temperature recorded at 27.5 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature is expected to be between 31 and 33 degrees Celsius.
Humidity in the city has reached 78%, and winds are blowing from the west at a speed of 12 kilometers per hour, according to the Meteorological Department.
