Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has officially launched the "Ikhtiar Awam" portal, a new platform aimed at facilitating communication between the people and the government.
During the portal's launch ceremony in Peshawar, Gandapur emphasized that citizens can now register complaints directly, adding that unless there was communication between the people and government, problems can't be solved.
"All our officers have to provide relief to the people. If work is going on in your area, go and check its quality for yourself," Gandapur urged the citizens. He stressed that the portal would help improve governance, ensuring that officers provide relief to the people.

If any officer fails to resolve a complaint, he said, it would be forwarded to higher authorities for further action. "The process of reward and punishment will be refined through this system," he added.
On another note, Gandapur addressed the issue of Afghan consul general allegedly disrespecting the Pakistani national anthem, saying different people are invited to various events, denying that there was any issue with the anthem.

"The Afghan consulate general has issued its explanation. They have omitted music from their national anthem also," he added.
In his remarks, Gandapur also touched on various issues affecting the region, including illegal mining in the merged tribal districts and the need for better management of resources. He emphasized that the mining authority would first be given to the tribal people and reiterated the importance of working closely with local leaders to restore peace and order.
Gandapur further announced that many checkposts were going to be abolished, and the government was restoring the jirga system to restore peace and order.
