On September 19, 1965, the 19th day of the war, Pakistan reported significant military achievements across various fronts. In the Sialkot-Jammu sector, the Pakistani Army claimed to have destroyed 40 enemy tanks and captured 3 officers, 4 JCOs, and 102 soldiers.
The Khemkaran area witnessed three air raids, which were reportedly repelled. In the Wagah-Attari sector, two enemy counter-attacks were pushed back with heavy losses to the opposing forces. Pakistani forces also claimed to have pushed the enemy back several miles in the Kasur and Khemkaran areas.
In Chawinda, Pakistani forces reported a notable victory, significantly lowering enemy morale. The Sindh-Rajasthan sector saw 150 enemy soldiers reportedly killed and 21 taken as prisoners of war.
Mujahideen forces attacked an Indian military base six miles from Rajouri and destroyed a crucial bridge on Bagram Road, 15 miles from Srinagar.
The Pakistan Air Force maintained its superiority, providing continuous support to ground troops. They reported shooting down an Indian Hunter aircraft in the Sialkot-Jammu sector.
In a show of national solidarity, writers, poets, and citizens from various backgrounds across Pakistan decided to contribute 10% of their income to the National Defense Fund.
