Following Chelsea's defeat against Aston Villa, Reece James, a Chelsea defender, has received a one-game suspension and a £90,000 ($109,000) fine for using "improper, insulting, and abusive words and behaviour" towards a match official, referee Jarred Gillett.
The incident reportedly took place in the tunnel at Stamford Bridge.
This disciplinary action comes after Chelsea's 1-0 loss to Villa, during which Chelsea defender Malo Gusto was sent off in the second half.
James, who was not in the matchday squad due to injury, will be hoping to return to action against Arsenal on October 21.
