England fast bowler Josh Hull has been ruled out of next month's Test tour of Pakistan due to a quad injury, the team management confirmed on Thursday.
According to details, Hull compelled to sit out the ongoing white-ball series against Australia after sustaining the injury during his Test debut against Sri Lanka at the Oval earlier this month.
An England spokesperson announced that Hull will look to focus on his recovery and no replacement will be called up for the red-ball series against Pakistan, which is set to begin in Multan on October 7.
Hull's selection for the third Test against Sri Lanka raised eyebrows as he had taken just two wickets in the second division of the County Championship, with an expensive average of 182.50.
Standing at an imposing 6 feet, 7 inches (2 metres) tall, Hull delivered match figures of 3-91. However, Sri Lanka's eight-wicket victory in that Test sealed a 2-1 series win for England.
Despite the setback, England is proceeding without further squad changes ahead of their Pakistan tour.
England had trounced Pakistan 3-0 in the last series, they played against the Green Shirts.
