The hearing of the £190 million reference involving Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and his wife, Bushra Bibi, has been postponed until October 2.
Accountability Court Judge Nasir Javed Rana heard the case.
During the proceedings, Bushra Bibi’s lawyer, Usman Gul, cross-examined the final witness, Mian Umar Nadeem, who is a Deputy Director at the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the Investigation Officer in the case.
Prosecutor General NAB, Muzaffar Abbasi, expressed frustration over the slow pace of the cross-examination. He noted that this was the 26th appearance of NAB witnesses in court, yet the defense's cross-examination has still not been completed.
The court has now adjourned the hearing to October 2, when Usman Gul will continue his cross-examination of the NAB witness.
