Federal Minister for Energy, Owais Leghari, has emphasized the urgent need for reforms in Pakistan’s energy sector.
In a recent statement, he stressed that upgrading the electricity transmission system and introducing modern technology into distribution companies is essential for improving the country’s power infrastructure.
Leghari pointed out that the government is taking important steps to enhance the electricity sector's efficiency. A major focus is being placed on green energy projects to reduce dependence on costly conventional power sources. “By promoting alternative energy sources, we can break free from the burden of expensive electricity,” he said.
