Registration for the Honahar Scholarship Program has officially begun for university students across Punjab.
The program will provide scholarships to 30,000 deserving students annually across 68 different disciplines, with the aim of ensuring access to higher education for talented individuals.
This initiative will benefit students from 50 public sector universities, 16 medical colleges, and 131 graduate colleges, while also extending to top private universities. The total value of scholarships under this program is set to reach Rs130 billion over eight years, with an expected 120,000 students receiving financial aid in the next four years.

At the launch of the scholarship, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz commented that she had fulfilled the promise made in her first speech since taking office. “The launch of the Honahar Scholarship Program is a major milestone. This initiative will remove financial barriers for intelligent and deserving students, allowing them to pursue higher education.”
She further added that the program is designed to fulfil the dreams of Pakistani youth by providing them with access to quality education and promising employment opportunities. "I am committed to delivering on my promise to empower our youth and secure their future," Maryam Nawaz said.
