Pakistan red-ball captain Shan Masood has notched his first century in four years in the first Test against England at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
According to details, Masood, who was under the fire for both his performance with the bat and as skipper, had a sigh of relief. He compiled a resilient 177-ball 151, lacing with 13 boundaries and two sixes.
Pakistan were off to a much better start in their first Test match, considering their shortcomings in their recent outings in the format.
Abdullah Shafique, who was also struggling for form, had raised his bat to the gallery by compiling a hard-fought century.
Both Masood and Shafique had plundered 253 runs off 338 balls before the latter made his way back to the pavilion.
